When I was a kid, I drew a lot – for pleasure.
Now I'm a grown up, I still make marks, only nowadays people pay me to do this.
But it's still for pleasure.
That's because I insist on only working with people who I believe I can make great things with.
My clients, my staff, my partners and suppliers, who have all become our friends since I set up
Abrahams in 1996.
I'm surprised how designers seem to use all their creativity for their clients' work,
and forget to use it on themselves and their businesses.
For me there's no division – all activities overlap; commercial projects, consultancy,
Designer Breakfasts, At Abrahams, artist books.
I call this designer as entrepreneur.
